Software Engineer

• GHGSat offers greenhouse gas detection, measurement, and monitoring services to industrial and government customers around the world. We use our own satellites and aircraft sensors, combined with third-party data, to help industrial emitters better understand, control, and reduce their emissions. GHGSat’s capability is unique: we provide high-resolution, local measurements of atmospheric methane and carbon dioxide concentration from space.
• Intermediate/Senior Embedded Software Developer
• GHGSat is looking for an innovative and experienced Embedded Developer. As part of a cross-functional team, you will support and drive the development of new platforms and the improvement of existing ones, with a focus on automation. Our Satellite Payloads and Aircraft Avionics run Linux, capture imagery from IR cameras and are written in C++, Rust and OCaml. Python is used for testing, Yocto and CMake for building the systems. Candidates are expected to work within agile scrum. We offer training to learn new programming languages on the job. • In the role of an Intermediate/Senior Embedded Developer, you will be expected to execute the following functions:
• Design, develop, integrate, test and deploy Linux firmware for Satellite and Airborne payloads,
• Work autonomously on complex features,
• Develop controlling applications for cameras, temperature sensors, heaters, LED devices,
• Develop unit, component and integration tests,
• Continuously improve the development environment and minimize technical debt,
• Document all stages of the product: Requirements, Design, Implementation, Integration, Test in an iterative fashion,
• Troubleshoot complex problems with Software (debugger, profiler) and Hardware tools (oscilloscope, logic analyzer),
• Provide support to instrument testing and characterization,
• Communicate effectively inside and outside the team (reporting, architecture decisions, tech talk)

Embedded Developer

Business Development Rep

• Expand GHGSat’s presence within federal, provincial, state, and international government markets to support revenue growth and funding diversification
• Develop and execute GHGSat’s government contracting strategy
• Identify, qualify, and prioritize opportunities with space agencies, environmental regulators, defense organizations, and climate-focused government initiatives
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with contracting officers, policy leaders, and industry partners
• Anticipate government funding trends and position GHGSat as a preferred partner for climate monitoring solutions
• Lead the full lifecycle of government proposals (RFI, RFP, RFQ, grants, tenders) from capture planning through submission
• Write and edit proposals that communicate GHGSat’s technical capabilities, scientific expertise, and value proposition
• Ensure compliance with government procurement frameworks (Canadian Space Agency, ESA, NASA, US DoD/DOE, Environment and Climate Change Canada)
• Coordinate cross-functional contributions from technical, product, finance, and legal teams
• Manage timelines, compliance checklists, and evaluation criteria to produce competitive submissions
• Structure and negotiate teaming agreements, partnerships, and subcontractor relationships
• Act as liaison with government program managers and contracting officials throughout bid, negotiation, and award phases
• Support contract management and compliance post-award in collaboration with legal and finance
• Monitor government procurement priorities in climate change, space observation, defense, and environmental sustainability
• Provide regular pipeline, win-loss analysis, and capture strategy updates to leadership
• Advise senior leadership on bid/no-bid decisions, highlighting risks and opportunities

Account Executive

• GHGSat offers greenhouse gas detection, measurement, and monitoring services using its own satellites and aircraft sensors combined with third-party data
• Sell satellite-derived methane monitoring products that help companies and governments identify and mitigate methane emissions
• Spearhead initiatives selling solutions to US Government customers and build strategic relationships with senior Government decision makers
• Develop and manage key client accounts while supporting new opportunities within the US and Canada
• Act as Lead Relationship Manager and primary point of contact for assigned accounts and countries
• Develop and execute penetration strategies for data, analytics, and emissions monitoring use cases
• Contribute to technical wins and product fit, building customer trust and enabling post-sale success
• Support and lead proposals for Government prospects, including NASA R&D ITTs and government grants
• Build internal relationships across GHGSat to ensure continuous improvement in delivery

Account Manager

• Marketing Manager, Partnerships at GHGSat will be the strategic driver of new ideas to build awareness and generate leads. You will work with the dynamic I&G and Partnerships teams to help bring GHGSat’s vision and unique value proposition to the many companies who are keen to monitor and reduce their emissions. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, and with the support of a strong marketing team, you will play a significant role in supporting of the organization’s ambitious growth goals.
