About the role
- Serve as the subject-matter expert for the industrial sector; possess deep knowledge of industrial user profiles, workflows, and customer decision drivers.
- Maintain and update comprehensive market analyses, including customer needs, regulatory developments, competitor and gap analysis, and emerging trends.
- Assess business opportunities, competitive positioning, and market trends to refine product-market fit.
- Attend key industry events and engage directly with customers and customer-facing teams to gather insights and build a network of stakeholder relationships.
- Collaborate with the commercial team to gather current customer needs and prioritize them based on business impact.
- Triage customer feedback and manage the backlog of improvements to ensure alignment with customer requests and strategic objectives.
- Promote customer-centered design and data-driven decision making to guide the roadmap and business priorities.
- Translate sector strategies into actionable product roadmaps. Work with the product management and science teams to define solutions and capabilities that address customer challenges.
- Write product briefs to capture market problems, proposed solutions, and the business impact of candidate product initiatives.
- Create cost-benefit analyses for strategic initiatives requiring significant resources, including return-on-investment analyses, to support roadmap prioritization and resource allocation.
- Support sales, marketing, and customer success teams to enable go-to-market efforts, provide product messaging insights, and drive customer adoption.
Requirements
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Proven experience in industrial sectors involving emissions measurement, experience in the sensor technology market, or prior experience as a product manager responsible for creating and launching highly technical solutions (e.g., climate/ESG analytics, data solutions, remote sensing, clean tech).
- Customer-oriented mindset with demonstrated experience balancing technical feasibility and business value to make informed trade-offs.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage internal stakeholders, including senior executives, and external stakeholders (customers, trade organizations, NGOs). Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in a matrixed environment.

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental sciences, computer science, or a related technical discipline.
- 8–10+ years of experience in product strategy, product management, or industrial functions, ideally combining technical expertise with market-facing responsibilities.
- Proven success in developing or managing data analytics or intelligence products serving industrial sectors.
- Familiarity with agile delivery frameworks and product management tools. Experience with satellite/geospatial technologies, environmental or climate datasets is a strong asset.
