About the role

  • The Senior Manager, Logistics Project Management will coordinate, manage, and be responsible for the successful delivery of projects initiated in support of Getinge Group Logistics Americas
  • The position will also support global projects, as needed
  • The position will scope, create business cases, identify resource requirements, and establish the timeline for assigned projects
  • The position is expected to lead effectively either directly or indirectly and hold overall responsibility for the successful completion of assigned projects
  • This position is fully remote in EST
  • Developing comprehensive project plans, setting timelines, and establishing key milestones to ensure successful project delivery
  • Managing resources, including personnel, budget, and materials, to optimize project efficiency and cost-effectiveness
  • Identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and ensure project success
  • Maintaining clear communication with stakeholders, including team members, suppliers, and customers, to ensure alignment and facilitate effective collaboration
  • As associated with projects, analyzing data, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, laws, and company policies related to logistics operations (including transportation, freight, trade operations, customs, logistics related IT applications (ERP/Warehouse Management System)), general business operations (including Environmental, Health and Safety, Business Continuity Planning, business and facility risk resilience, footprint), and quality operations (including QMS development, certification/recertification activity)
  • Supporting project related negotiations and management of contracts with suppliers/service providers
  • Evaluating new project opportunities against available capacity, business needs, impact to existing projects and relative priority within the portfolio
  • Contributing to projects within the portfolio as an individual, an escalation point, and a technical expert for PMO at all stages of the project lifecycle
  • Identifying, accounting for, and escalating, if necessary, cross-functional and cross-Business Area interdependencies or issues early in the project lifecycle to prevent project delay or unnecessary conflict
  • Providing input to and create business cases as required
  • Developing and leading project and executive level Steering Committee reviews, as necessary
  • Managing unexpected project delays
  • Supporting audit activity as required
  • Assisting in special projects or assignments needed
  • The salary range for this position is between $140,000-170,000 per year with a 25% bonus, depending on experience and location.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, logistics, operations, industrial or similar field
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant engineering/project management experience, preferably in medical device/life sciences or other highly regulated industry
  • PMP certification preferred
  • Working knowledge of medical device/life science/highly regulated industry and associated quality system requirements
  • Understanding of FDA/notified body regulations preferred
  • Experience leading the development and implementation of projects, with ability to oversee multiple projects and effectively manage timelines
  • Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as effectively interact and communicate with all levels of the organization in a team environment
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills; ability to create and present executive level presentations
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
