About the role

  • Remote position within the US
  • As Sales Executive you are responsible for driving sales and profitability in alignment with our strategic plan and the procurement and sales of products to your customer base
  • You ensure the quality of sourcing and sales, customer satisfaction, opportunity and risk assessment, departmental improvements, and information exchange with other sales and commodity traders
  • In this role you work in close collaboration with the commercial and financial departments
  • Your responsibilities and objectives: Suggest new trade opportunities and product development
  • Keeps track of international market developments
  • Keeps track of the results and suggests corrective action plans
  • Assessing customer payment risks
  • Ensure optimal customer satisfaction
  • Responsible for handling product complaints from customers
  • Define all quality aspects towards all product providers and customers (either when buying/selling on a contract basis or otherwise)
  • Follows the product specifications as defined by the quality department and adheres to instructions specified by the QA Manager
  • All other duties as assigned
  • Ensures all suppliers meet supplier approval with the Quality Assurance Manager
  • Ensures effective safety procedures, tools, and record-keeping are managed through site leadership
  • Adheres to company GMP’s (good manufacturing practices), safety procedures, and all other quality processes
  • Wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) when required

Requirements

  • BA Business Management, Marketing, International Trade, Agriculture, or related field a plus
  • At least 5 years of experience in sales, international trade, or a comparable function
  • Must possess a strong working knowledge of the import/export environment
  • Successful customer service experience
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems
  • Proficiency with MS Office
  • Proven communication skills – verbal and written
  • Successful experience finding prospects, turning prospects into leads, and leads into customers' preferred
  • Demonstrated experience building rapport with customers and curating durable relationships
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Thrives working in ambiguous situations
  • Ability to solve challenging problems
  • Prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Work with minimal direction
