About the role

  • Own and grow your territory by driving the full sales process from Discovery to Closed Won.
  • You will be supported by Sales Development Reps (SDR’s) to help you grow our customer base.
  • Create a territory strategy including prioritizing accounts and create an execution plan
  • Engage with decision-makers, i.e. business and laboratory operational leaders.
  • Leverage sales development to support your territory plan and set up qualified calls
  • Conduct discovery calls, deliver quotes, negotiate pricing, and close business profitably
  • Educate buyers on our products, our portal, and our ordering processes
  • Conduct virtual meetings to assess client needs and showcase Genesee products
  • Use Salesforce to manage pipeline and track activity
  • Meet/exceed territory goals based on margin, quota attainment, and revenue growth

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, science or equivalent experience
  • 3+ plus years of full cycle B2B sales experience; experience in life sciences, medical or biotech sales - lab experience a plus
  • Demonstrated success in driving engagement with prospects virtually, leveraging CRM and other modern tools to advance prospects along the qualification journey
  • Demonstrated success at hunting for new business and owning the sales process
  • Skilled at managing procurement processes and negotiating with price-savvy buyers
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with colleagues to identify customer needs
  • Results orientated, strong work ethic and an ability to excel within a rapidly changing and growing organization
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications; experience with Salesforce is a plus
