About the role

  • Maintain and elevate fleet uptime for prototype vehicle systems and components through proactive issue discovery, triage, configuration updates, code debugging, and root-cause analysis.
  • Partner with cross-functional technical teams to drive both short-term fixes and long-term design improvements across hardware, software, and connectivity systems - including network configurations, sensor integration, vehicle connectivity, and AV system software.
  • Build collaborative, productive relationships with technicians, operators, engineers, and external partners to ensure seamless fleet operations and rapid issue resolution.
  • Bring engineering rigor and hands-on troubleshooting to dynamic, real-world testing environments where precision and uptime are essential.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in automotive, robotics, consumer electronics, or aerospace industries.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with C++ and/or Python for scripting, testing, and basic automation; experience with Linux commands for interfacing with vehicle systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose and debug complex hardware/software interactions in highly integrated systems.
  • Ability to interpret schematics, datasheets, and communication architectures for vehicle and component-level systems.
  • Experience working with Autonomous Vehicle Control, Active Safety, Electrification, or related advanced mobility technologies.
  • Deep knowledge of hardware/software interfaces (CAN, Ethernet, LIN).
  • Experience with software release tools & programming environments (Jenkins, Artifactory, SPR, Linux, etc.).
  • Experience with product and workflow tools (JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Loop, etc.).
  • Familiarity with integration and diagnostic tools such as Vector, Intrepid, INCA, or dSPACE.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with cross-functional stakeholders at every level.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously, prioritize effectively, and provide guidance to integration engineers when required.
  • Valid driver’s license with the ability to drive and operate test vehicles.
