About the role

  • Own Cadillac Canada’s brand, commercial, and financial performance—including sales, market share, profitability, brand desirability, and customer experience.
  • Serve as Cadillac’s primary advocate in Canada, representing the brand to internal partners, external stakeholders, the dealer network, and customers.
  • Champion Cadillac’s navigation of the changing EV & luxury landscape, ensuring Canadian readiness across product planning, retail execution, EV charging ecosystem, and luxury customer journey.
  • Lead Canadian product, pricing, and packaging strategy, ensuring competitiveness, brand elevation, strong residual values, and vehicle line profit.
  • Translate Canadian consumer insights, competitive trends, and market shifts into actionable strategic recommendations.
  • Partner closely with Global Cadillac product, design, and marketing teams to ensure the Canadian perspective is reflected in long‑range planning.
  • Champion Cadillac’s Canadian brand strategy, including long‑range planning, annual brand objectives, and performance marketing frameworks.
  • Ensure brand positioning and messaging align with Cadillac’s global transformation into a modern luxury EV brand while driving lower funnel traffic to ensure monthly & annual sales targets are achieved and exceeded.
  • Champion the use of advanced analytics, performance marketing, and premium‑tier creative to drive brand consideration, engagement, and return on ad spend across all tiers of the marketing ecosystem (GM, RMAB, Dealer).
  • Act as Cadillac’s visible brand leader across GM, with Canadian dealers, in the media, and with agency partners.
  • Lead the development of Cadillac Canada’s retail network strategy, ensuring premium retail standards, alignment with brand identity standards for all dealers, required by 2030, and profitable dealer performance.
  • Guide dealers through the transition to EV‑led sales, service readiness, and luxury customer expectations.
  • Represent Cadillac Canada at key dealer councils, industry forums, and retail network governance processes.
  • Lead, develop, and coach a high‑performing team across brand, product, marketing, retail operations, and communications.
  • Foster strong collaboration across GM Canada functions including Sales, Digital, Finance, PR, Legal, OnStar, Aftersales, Chevrolet, Buick GMC, and Cadillac Global teams.
  • Build and reinforce a culture of inclusion, innovation, safety, and accountability aligned to GM’s values and leadership behaviours.
  • Serve as the primary Canadian point of contact for global Cadillac leadership, ensuring alignment and shared execution.

Requirements

  • 15-20 years of progressive senior leadership experience in automotive, luxury, or premium consumer‑brand environments.
  • Proven track record leading brand, marketing, commercial, or general‑management functions.
  • Strong strategic thinking capability with demonstrated ability to translate insights into clear, actionable plans.
  • Experience stewarding premium or luxury brands and managing significant advertising and media investments.
  • Demonstrated leadership excellence in building high‑performance teams, organizational agility, and cross‑functional collaboration.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and executive & stakeholder influence skills.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing complex commercial levers.
  • Ability to lead through transformation, including EV adoption, new retail models, and evolving customer expectations.
  • Undergraduate degree in business, marketing, or a related discipline required.
  • MBA or equivalent senior leadership experience preferred.
