About the role
- Support Fleet uptime for prototype vehicle systems and components through issue identification, triage, configuration & code debugging, and root cause analysis.
- Work with cross-functional teams to drive hardware and software design changes by balancing short-term improvements and long-term solutions to resolve issues.
- Issues are varied, including network configuration issues, AV sensor connectivity issues, fleet management, car connectivity, and AV system software.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with cross-functional groups, including technicians, operators, engineers, and external partners.
Requirements
- 5 + years of experience working in automotive, robotics, consumer electronics, or aerospace industries.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
- Familiarity with C++ and/or Python for scripting and testing, Linux commands for connecting to vehicle systems
- Hands-on experience working with and debugging complex hardware and software systems.
- Ability to read through vehicle and component schematics, datasheets, and communication architecture.
- Experience with Autonomous Vehicle Control, Active Safety, Electrification, etc.
- In-depth knowledge of hardware and software interfaces (CAN, Ethernet, LIN)
- Experience with software release tools & programming languages (Jenkins, Artifactory, SPR, Linux, etc.)
- Experience with product management tools (JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Loop, Etc.)
- Familiarity with software integration tools such as Vector, Intrepid, INCA, dSpace
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with individuals at all levels within an organization
- Demonstrated ability to successfully manage tasks under minimal supervision and provide direction to integration engineers
- Possess a valid driver's license with the ability to drive and operate test vehicles.
