About the role
- Responsible for development and implementation of assigned projects
- Provides a single point of contact for projects
- Serves as the Contractor interface for the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR)
- Supports WCOSS HPC operational systems 24x7
- Implements new HPC operational system while maintaining legacy operations
- Provides leadership and mentoring to senior HPC professionals
- Ensures compliance with NIST and FISMA security control requirements
- Interfaces with all areas affected by the project
- Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports
- Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis
- Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables
- Leads integration of vendor tasks and tracks vendor deliverables
- Provides technical and analytical guidance to project team
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Program Manager for large ($500M)
- Project Management Professional Certification
- Project management experience in a High Performance Computing (HPC) environment
- Ability to communicate clearly to Government stakeholders
- Technical experience architecting or maintaining high-performance computers
- Experience managing teams of geographically dispersed staff
- Experience developing and sustaining productive relationships with demanding clients
