About the role

  • Provide project management and project coordination support to the NHLBI Project Management Office (PMO) to enhance the Institute’s project management skills; develop tools and templates; develop training and guidance materials; and provide consultative advice to project leads as needed
  • Work with federal senior leadership and the GDIT team to plan for and execute NHLBI programs and projects, including project management and coordination support
  • Support senior-level working groups and meetings, including meeting minute capture, action item tracking, coordination, logistics, and materials preparation
  • Support weekly client and GDIT team meetings with meeting minute capture, action item tracking, coordination, and logistics
  • Support the project or program team in maintaining and monitoring project plans, schedules, budgets, and expenditures; ensure project deadlines are monitored
  • Facilitate project risk and issue management process
  • Create and/or maintain document repositories for projects as needed
  • Provide administrative support as needed
  • Collaborate with the GDIT team to develop new ideas to create additional value and efficiencies for the team and client

Requirements

  • 5 years experience and Masters in health or science related field required (or equivalent combination)
  • NIH experience required
  • Recent experience with Federal Grant applications and funding
  • Experience working with Chief Scientists or Researchers
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Minimum of 3 years of demonstrable experience in portfolio, program, and project management support
  • Ability to obtain a NIH Public Trust Operational program/project management experience for a federal health/science agency strongly preferred
