About the role

  • Support Defense Logistics Agency (DLA IOEE/IOSEE) program in Springfield, VA; hybrid role with weekly office attendance and DLA facility SIPR work as needed.
  • Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure; ensure availability, performance, and security of cloud environment.
  • Provide technical expert support, analysis and research on complex problems; serve on executive-level project teams and guide major programs.
  • Plan, perform, and document laboratory assessments for classified and unclassified DISN services to ensure connectivity between DLA WAN, DLA NOC, and DISA NOCs.
  • Coordinate with government customer to create Technology Assessment Plans (TAP), prepare After Action Reports (AAR), and produce executive briefing documentation.
  • Identify and evaluate new and emerging network capabilities; develop system evaluation methods and product selection criteria.
  • Ensure interoperability between DLA WAN and DISN network equipment and services; plan and track implementation tasks.
  • Create configuration artifacts: network maps, detailed designs, test plans, operations readiness reports, device configurations, and maintenance procedures.
  • Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) engineering services and support enterprise network design, routing, switching, data center, and multi-cloud technologies (Azure, OCI, Google Cloud, AWS).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years of experience required (or additional 4 years of experience in lieu of degree).
  • Active Secret security clearance with current SSBI or active Secret with the ability to obtain SSBI required.
  • Clearance Level Must Currently Possess: Secret; Must Be Able to Obtain: Top Secret.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level III certification required.
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional Enterprise (CCNP-E) certification required.
  • CheckPoint Certified Security Administrator (CCSA) certification required (or must obtain within 6 months of hire).
  • Hands-on experience with Azure, AWS and/or Cloud and familiarity with DoD Hosted Cloud Environments.
  • Strong background in cloud computing, cloud infrastructure, deployment models and cloud security.
  • 8+ years of related experience; US Citizenship required.
  • Travel Required: 10-25%.
