About the role
- Lead a team with Technology, Design, and Business to operate and modernize GEICO’s partner-product integration offerings
- Lead multiple sprint teams that balance a portfolio of products and capabilities focused on partner integrations
- Increase sales of partner products by ensuring the right selection and optimizing the shopping experience for customers and agents
- Build technical products that are scalable and adaptive to changing partner needs and market conditions
- Promote effective ways of working and manage talent to drive sustainable results
- Create and communicate a compelling product vision backed by data to drive continuous value for customers, partners, and the business
- Support new teams and ways of working; roll up sleeves when needed
- Report on success, risks, and missteps using data, relationships and context
- Influence organizational change through scoping, process improvement, and positive team dynamics
- Write requirements and lead cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions through APIs, services, and partner integrations
- Produce artifacts such as Vision, Strategy, Roadmap, Experimentation Plans, Go To Market plans, Epics, Features, User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, and Test Plans
- Partner with Technology leaders to influence end-state architecture and drive secure, resilient, performant, and scalable solutions
- Leverage data and experimentation to inform roadmap decisions and communicate impact to stakeholders
- Drive prioritization, trade-off discussions, and decision-making with technical experts and business stakeholders
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in product leadership positions with proven record of accomplishment
- 5+ years in Agile product management
- 5+ years of experience creating Consumer or Agent facing products
- 4+ years managing all aspects of a product feature throughout its lifecycle from concept to delivery
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience creating and working with teams that deliver full-stack, Enterprise grade technical platforms and products (APIs, Microservices, SDKs, front-end experiences)
- Strong Agile product management fundamentals
- Customer empathy and strong execution skills
- Track record of building and leading multiple high-performing sprint teams
- Ability to build strong relationships across teams and functions
- Experience leveraging data, running experiments, and ensuring instrumentation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills to influence across the organization
- High sense of accountability and strong problem-solving skills (preferred)
- Insurance industry experience preferable, not required (preferred)
- Agile certifications preferred (e.g., SAFe, Scrum Alliance, Scrum.Org, ICAgile)
