About the role
- Manage strategy for high-profile litigation matters
- Collaborate with and manage outside counsel
- Advise internal stakeholders on litigation strategy
- Coordinate internal discovery activities
- Manage legal risks and resolve disputes
- Facilitate complex matter escalations to stakeholders
- Conduct research for relevant advice
- Monitor legislation, regulations, and trends in insurance
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- 5 or more years of litigation management experience
- Experience managing high stakes, complex litigation
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to balance legal risk and business objectives
- Proficiency in managing multiple priorities and projects
- Trial and appellate experience
