About the role
- Provide onsite and remote technical support for robotic automation systems, including AMR and robot shuttle (G2P) solutions.
- Perform system commissioning, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance during deployment and ongoing service phases.
- Diagnose hardware, electrical, mechanical, and software issues using system logs, diagnostic tools, data analysis, and onsite observation.
- Respond to service tickets and escalations, ensuring timely resolution and clear, professional communication with customers.
- Collaborate closely with Product and R&D teams to resolve complex, system-level technical issues.
- Collect, document, and analyze field issues, including root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions, to support continuous product and service improvement.
- Deliver technical training and operational guidance to customers, partners, and internal teams as required.
- Adhere to established service processes, safety procedures, and documentation standards.
- Travel to customer sites as required, including domestic and international travel, depending on project needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (4-year) in Robotics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Hands-on experience with robotic systems, automation equipment, or related electromechanical systems.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, electrical, mechanical, and software domains.
- Ability to work independently in customer-facing environments.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Demonstrated teamwork, customer service orientation, and willingness to learn.
- Experience with PLC systems (e.g., Sick, Siemens, Allen-Bradley/Rockwell).
- Knowledge of industrial networking and communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, ProfNet, TCP/IP).
- Familiarity with Linux-based systems, command-line tools, and log analysis.
- Understanding of warehouse automation, material handling, or intralogistics systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Prior experience delivering technical training to customers or internal teams.
- Bilingual proficiency in Mandarin and English is highly desired.
