About the role
- Lead the day-to-day planning and execution of multiple event programs, ensuring seamless delivery and alignment with business objectives
- Oversee event development processes, including concept creation, program design, agenda development, and logistics coordination
- Manage internal communications and work streams, fostering strong collaboration among cross-functional teams
- Serve as a primary point of contact for stakeholders, including internal business partners, senior leadership, and external agency partners
- Negotiate with internal and external partners to ensure strategic alignment, optimal resource allocation, and cost-effective solutions
- Track and report event ROI, manage budgets, and provide insights to optimize future programs
- Supervise agency partners, vendors, and suppliers to ensure high-quality execution and adherence to brand standards
- Maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and deliverables, proactively addressing challenges and mitigating risks
- Support global and regional event initiatives
- Reports to the Sr Director of Portfolio Marketing for Grid Software and works in close partnership with the Sr Manager, Events & Experiences
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field
- 6+ years of experience in event program management, with a demonstrated preference for event-focused roles
- Proven expertise in managing large-scale, complex events in a corporate environment
- Strong project management, organizational, and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Experience negotiating with business partners and vendors
- Proficiency in budget management and ROI tracking for event programs
- Ability to travel globally up to 25%
- Experience working in the software, technology, or energy sectors (preferred)
- Familiarity with event management platforms and digital collaboration tools (preferred)
- Creative mindset with a strategic approach to event development and problem-solving (preferred)
