About the role

  • Provide technical support at MW-scale for Industrial and Marine Power Systems
  • Engage with customers and local engineering teams to provide technical support for current and legacy platforms
  • Use your experience in Power Systems design and practical hands-on experience through supporting Power Systems commissioning activities
  • Take ownership of technical issues and drive through to conclusion
  • Support lessons learned and feed back into design standards
  • Ensure recommendations, solutions and advice are technically compliant and safe
  • Provide timely solutions to customers
  • Engage with wider engineering teams to develop technical knowledge and experience
  • Provide Power Systems application support & technical guidance to customers and to commercial and site teams

Requirements

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant subject, or relevant industrial experience
  • Working towards or hold IEng or CEng qualification
  • Willing to travel within UK and overseas for short-term working
  • Holistic knowledge of Power Systems (HV & LV), including alternators, grounding systems, switchboards, protection relays, AVRs, transformers, power electronic converters, etc.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
  • Able to establish good relationships with customers and colleagues
