About the role
- Ownership and accountability from start to finish of the program interface points.
- Including, effective communication with GEV partners, cross-functional teams, EPCs, and Customers.
- Primary point of contact for Power Conversion project team on all GSI scope.
- Interface leadership between all internal and external stakeholders.
- Accountable for data / information / documentation needed between all parties to progress work in a timely manner.
- Partners with project managers and project planners to ensure interface (dependencies) deliverables are identified, tracked and monitored in P6 throughout the project lifecycle.
- Accountable for risk mitigation on interface dependencies of the program.
- Leads risk & opportunity management that arise from interface scopes, collaborating with PM and Contract Mgr. to integrate interface inputs into project level R&Os.
- Supports engineering with the plant level DCS / Controls interface requirements.
- Supports Cross-functional teams on GSI interfaces including, engineering data, quality, sourcing, EHS, progress reporting, etc.
- Responsible for ensuring on-site interfaces between PC/GSI and customer/EPC are fully planned and managed in execution, including documentation submission (O&MM, TQs, etc.).
- Apply value stream mapping to identify areas of improvement and continually enhance interface processes and effectiveness.
- Streamline collaboration efforts to standardize actions and interface data collection and distribution between all projects of our program.
- Awareness of contractual documents and GEV’s obligations towards the customer.
- Conduct and lead multi-party interface workshops, as needed.
- Drive STOP WORK culture and EHS life saving rules.
- Working knowledge of Equipment (switchgears, circuit breakers, transformers, DCS, etc.) and performance guarantees.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the energy industry in Saudi Arabia, with minimum 10 years’ of work experience.
- Experience working on complex energy projects in Saudi Arabia, with key focus on interface management.
- Experience with scheduling software i.e. primavera P6.
- Self-starter, able to resolve interface conflicts and lead cross functional teams to success.
- Concise presentation skills to leadership and customer.
- Must be fluent in Arabic and English (verbal and written).
- Willingness to travel, ~30%.
