About the role

  • Oversee and/or assist with the execution of development safety activities to include: generating Safety requirements, performing Safety assessments and activities (FHA, PSSA, SSA, Fault Tree Analyses, Common Cause Analyses, SAR, etc.)
  • Lead Safety activities and provide technical leadership for assigned programs
  • Foster a forward-looking culture focused on proactive engagement and issue prevention
  • Coordinate with the US Development Safety leader to establish and execute organization goals and priorities
  • Form engaged and meaningful teaming relationships with internal stakeholders and peers to enable team success
  • Support the development and maintenance of highly efficient GE Aerospace Safety processes and standards and promote across Avionics & Electric Power

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and/or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical product development
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Safety roles within the Aviation industry
