About the role
- Strategically identify and develop IP assets directed to technological differentiation
- Craft IP strategies to protect competitive advantage
- Align IP strategy with market strategy
- Proactively engage with commercial and technical leaders for IP opportunities
- Develop multi-year strategy for assigned value-streams
- Create tactical roadmap for development and integration of new IP assets
- Identify opportunities to monetize GE Aerospace's IP
- Collaborate with other IP professionals
Requirements
- BS and/or other advanced degree in aerospace, mechanical, chemical, materials, or electrical engineering or computer science preferred
- Minimum 7 years of experience drafting and prosecuting high quality strategic U.S. and global patent applications
- Demonstrated understanding, command, and engagement with U.S. patent laws and regulations
- Must be registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office
- Law Degree from an accredited law school, and must be a member in good standing of the bar of at least one U.S. state
