About the role

  • Gartner Global Exhibitor Sales (GES): connect business and technology providers with their next customers and drive exhibitor sales
  • Build face-to-face relationships with senior executives within major IT vendor organizations to drive conference exhibitor sales
  • Retain and grow Total Sales Bookings (TSB) to ensure net revenue growth for a portfolio of conferences and/or clients
  • Develop integrated solutions, manage renewals, and coordinate inter-departmental resources across Gartner lines of business
  • Execute account planning, prospecting, pipeline management, and maintain or exceed pipeline goals
  • Provide timely and accurate revenue forecasts and comply with internal sales processes and tools (e.g., salesforce.com)
  • Deliver Gartner-format presentations, attend live sales training, and participate in incentive trips
  • Travel required for conferences and client meetings; uncapped income potential and performance-based rewards

Requirements

  • Minimum 4+ years of proven consultative sales experience; experience in the high-tech industry (services, software, or hardware) preferred
  • Proven ability to understand enterprise-wide issues and structure innovative, integrated solutions
  • Knowledge of the issues faced by C-level heads of Sales and Marketing
  • Good understanding of business buying centers and solid industry-specific and account knowledge
  • Proficient in account planning, territory management, and strong prospecting skills
  • Maintain or exceed pipeline goal of 3x value of sales forecast and achieve quota for Total Sales Bookings (TSB)
  • Timely and accurate revenue forecasting (30/60/90 days, +/- 5% accuracy)
  • Compliance in utilizing internal sales enablement tools such as salesforce.com and correct use of contracts/booking process
  • Deliver high-quality presentations in the Gartner format
  • Ability to travel to 5+ conferences per year plus client meetings and competitive conferences
