About the role
- Write code that is clear, well-tested and modular
- Architect and implement features with an eye towards performance and maintainability
- Assist game teams with technology choices and follow through with implementation
- Mentor more junior engineers via paired programming and code reviews
- Work with project managers inside and outside our studio to deliver features to players
- Potential growth paths: Tech Lead, Engineering Lead, Tech Area Expert, or DIY solo opportunities
Requirements
- A passion for games and entertainment that shows
- 5+ years of professional game programming experience
- Experience working in a large, established code base
- Deep knowledge of C++ programming and best practices
- Flexibility and desire to work on a variety of game systems
- Experience developing with Unreal Engine 4/5 is a plus
- Teaching others first and maintaining a mentorship culture
- Must be fluent in English
- Must be willing to work according to US time zones (available 8am - 3pm Pacific Time)
- Strong, stable internet connection conducive to remote work and video calls
- Work authorization in the country you will work from is required
