About the role
- Report directly to the GalaxyOne Head of Compliance
- Assist across multiple Compliance workstreams and collaborate closely with the Client Services team
- Manage escalations across KYC, KYB, transaction monitoring, and fraud cases
- Oversee KYC/AML processes, ensuring customer identification and due diligence
- Conduct KYB checks for business customers, vetting company structures and owners
- Review and monitor transactions for suspicious activity and recommend remediation actions
- Develop and maintain fraud detection systems and investigate suspicious activity
- Assist in conducting Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) audits and prepare reports for management and regulators
- Continuously evaluate and update compliance policies and procedures
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors and conduct periodic risk assessments
- Assist in managing and tracking licensing applications, renewals, and maintenance (MTLs, State Lending Licenses)
- Review marketing materials and campaigns for regulatory compliance
- Review, track, and report on escalated customer complaints to partners and regulators
- Own daily, monthly, and quarterly reviews from start to finish
- Provide real-time updates to business partners on regulatory licensing workstreams
- Fully remote role requiring candidates to be in Eastern or Central time zones
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years of experience in Compliance or Operations role at a regulated financial institution or FinTech
- Specific experience in BSA/AML
- Experience with licensing and registration requirements, specifically MTLs and State Lending Licenses
- Experience with Banking and Securities regulations
- Experience using Thomson Reuters CLEAR, Plaid
- Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders, including internal teams, parent companies, and external partners
- Familiarity with various financial products, including banking, equities, cryptocurrency, private placements, etc.
- Bonus Points: Prior experience working in a startup, fast paced environment
- Bonus Points: Experience with NACHA ACH rules and compliance
- Bonus Points: Interested/experienced in cryptocurrency
