About the role
- Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of platform products from strategic planning to tactical execution, focusing on scalability and innovation.
- Own and drive horizontal platform capabilities, including Identity and Access Control, OpenAPI interfaces, and authorization frameworks.
- Define product roadmap and strategy for platform services in partnership with engineering and security teams.
- Collaborate with engineering to build solutions using Cloud-native, SaaS, Microservices, Serverless, and Event-Driven architectures.
- Drive a developer-centric approach—improve developer experience and remove friction from workflows.
- Leverage AI-powered tools to improve workflows, analyze data, and enhance decision-making.
- Work with cross-functional stakeholders to align priorities, gather requirements, and ensure adoption of platform services.
- Ensure documentation, usability, and internal discoverability through collaboration with dev experience and documentation teams.
- Drive KPIs reflecting real-world platform usage, satisfaction, and adoption across stakeholders.
Requirements
- 15+ years of deep Product Management experience, including owning and driving large-scale technology platforms and developer-facing products across multiple lifecycle stages.
- Deep familiarity with Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), SaaS business models, Microservices, Serverless computing, Event-Driven Architectures, and API-first design principles.
- Experience managing Identity and Access Control (AuthN/AuthZ), OpenAPI, or platform security workflows is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with how AI can be applied to product management workflows and platform use cases; demonstrated ability to use AI tools to boost efficiency.
- Prior experience with Internal Developer Portals (IDPs), especially based on Backstage, and a strong understanding of how to scale internal developer enablement.
- Ability to build platform services with empathy for developers—understanding onboarding, authentication, documentation, and lifecycle needs.
- Demonstrated ability to work closely with internal customers and cross-functional stakeholders (engineering, business, security, GTM).
- Excellent prioritization, decision-making, execution rigor, and outstanding communication skills.
- Expertise in creating detailed product requirement documents (PRDs) and specifications.
- Strong strategic and analytical thinking; proficiency in defining and tracking KPIs and metrics.
- Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Solid technical foundation, preferably with a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees (M.S. or MBA) are a plus.
