About the role
- Serve as the Designated Responsible Licensed Producer (DRLP) and primary compliance contact with TDI and other regulators
- Monitor, interpret, and implement compliance with insurance laws, regulations, and carrier guidelines
- Oversee regulatory filings, renewals, audits, and examinations from TDI and other jurisdictions
- Ensure compliance with anti-money laundering (AML), data privacy, and consumer protection requirements
- Oversee and maintain licensing records for producers, entity licenses, and carrier appointments
- Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies, manuals, and standard operating procedures
- Conduct periodic compliance reviews and risk assessments and recommend corrective actions
- Provide compliance training and guidance to staff including sales, operations, and customer service teams
- Liaise with executive leadership regarding compliance risk and prepare reports for leadership and regulators
- Maintain records of compliance incidents, investigations, and resolutions
Requirements
- Active Texas General Lines – Property & Casualty or Life & Health Insurance Producer License (required)
- Must qualify and maintain status as Designated Responsible Licensed Producer (DRLP) under TDI regulations
- Maintain active and good-standing insurance producer licensing in Texas and other required states
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in insurance compliance, risk management, or regulatory affairs
- Strong knowledge of insurance laws, regulations, and compliance frameworks in Texas and other U.S. jurisdictions
- Experience with regulatory filings, renewals, audits, and interactions with state insurance departments and carriers
- Ensure continuing education (CE) compliance and timely renewal of producer licenses
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- High ethical standards and demonstrated integrity in decision-making
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or related field (preferred)
