About the role
- Oversee a complex, multi-stream program end-to-end with external client, setting program controls and tracking milestones
- Establish technical, architectural, and delivery governance with standardized reporting and compliance
- Lead stakeholder engagement from C-suite to delivery teams and clients and tailor communications for execs and delivery teams
- Own the program roadmap, controls, cadence, KPIs/OKRs, and standardized reporting/compliance
- Align PMs, vendors, and client teams; manage interdependencies across multiple work streams, schedule, and resources (people/budget/tech)
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate program-level risks; maintain a centralized register and contingency plan
- Manage budget, ROI, and outcomes; deliver clear exec-ready updates
- Run change control, keep teams aligned and engaged, and standardize/enforce processes and templates
- Ensure benefits realization by aligning deliverables to planned outcomes and quality standards
- Apply process engineering and continuous-improvement practices to lead complex programs from design through execution
- Adapt to unexpected challenges (e.g., scope changes, delays) with creative, structured solutions
Requirements
- 10+ years program management experience overseeing multi-stream projects with globally distributed teams and multiple project managers
- Experience managing teams of over 50 members
- Bachelor’s degree in business, management, or a related field (master's degree preferred)
- PMP certification preferred / "What you should have: PMP certification"
- Experience building WBS/dependency maps, standardizing processes, and maintaining program documentation (charters, risk logs)
- Proficiency with MS Project, Jira, SharePoint, Excel, and a PPM tool (e.g., Mavenlink/Kantata); ability to build dashboards and status reports
- Experience with hybrid Agile-Waterfall methodologies in large-scale programs
- Proven governance and structure skills (steering committees, compliance processes)
- Strong stakeholder management including C-suite engagement, RACI, and high-EQ leadership
- Proven financial acumen managing program budgets, tracking expenditures, and complex financial models (Fixed Price, T&M, Milestone payments, Revenue Recognition, Fixed Monthly fees, Expense recovery)
- Proactive RAID/risk management using PMI-style risk frameworks and contingencies
- Strong negotiation skills to resolve resource conflicts or stakeholder disputes
- Track record in process engineering, continuous-improvement practices, and leading programs from design through execution
- Adaptability and problem-solving experience handling scope changes and delays
- Strong attention to detail
