Operations Helper

Mechanical Engineer

• Provides technical advice and guidance for all phases of assigned Mechanical Engineering projects and programs, ensuring the successful conclusion of all phases within an appropriate time and at appropriate cost.
• Participates as a team member to review, investigate and develop appropriate recommendations regarding assigned Engineering projects
• Contributes to Mechanical Engineering design plans and requirements
• Serves as Project Manager or Technical Advisor, on small-to-medium site Engineering projects, which may include the development of new or modification to existing systems and processes
• Responsibilities include project development, budgeting, appropriation request (AR) preparation, contract management, electrical engineering, purchasing, construction, cost controls, quality controls, implementation, and start up

Mechanical Engineer II

Compliance

• Support PTFI’s continual improvement in its occupational health and safety management system to prevent serious incidents and fatalities and reduce overall injury rate, to develop the H&S competencies of the workforce, and to support professional development of H&S leaders and practitioners.
• Support and assist PTFI in development and implementation of an integrated Freeport Safety Health Management System (FSHMS) to ensure comply with ISO 45001 and government regulations.
• Support PTFI’s VP - Mine Safety Division in guiding the strategic direction of PTFI’s occupational health and safety objectives, targets, and programs.
• Share global best practices in management systems, risk management, and critical control implementation & monitoring with site leaders and counterparts.
• Facilitate collaboration and alignment with PTFI’s key H&S stakeholders, including PTFI business unit leaders, Freeport-McMoRan Inc. (FCX), Mining Industry Indonesia (MIND ID), and regulatory branches of the Government of Indonesia to evolve H&S objectives, targets, and programs.
• Guide investigations and root cause analyses related to complex and high severity incidents.
• Provide guidance to management team during crisis events.
• Support emergency preparedness and response efforts, assessing team readiness, and guiding emergency drills and tabletop exercises.
• Actively participate in PTFI’s health & safety programs, including Fatal Risk Management, Safety Accountability Program, and frequent interaction in work areas with safety practitioners and operations / maintenance crews.
• Support reviews of leading and lagging performance indicators, guiding teams to draw valid conclusions and develop meaningful action plans.
• Support governance processes to report accurate and timely information.
• Develop technical and leadership competencies of counterparts and counterparts’ teams.
• Assess the quality of implementation of safety standards, programs, and action plans across PTFI’s business units, and partner with business unit leaders and H&S teams to respond to findings.
• Support PTFI’s risk-based safety teams (e.g. Crane Committee, Electrical Safety Committee, Underground Fire Committee, etc.) to guide their focus.
• Monitor and advise on safety policies and practices throughout PTFI's area of work to ensure all safety policies and practices are followed and that they conform to GOI and international standards.
• Provide safety advice for the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the PTFI major safety program elements, such as: ISO45001-based Freeport Safety Health Management System (FSHMS) Fatality Risk Management (FRM) Contractor Safety Management System Safety Accountability Program Behavior-based Safety Program Safety and Health Steering Committee Internal Accident Investigation Committee Safety Training Program.
• Act as bridge between the Safety Department and the Area Safety Technical Experts to ensure good coordination and mutual support towards PTFI's continued ISO45001 success.
• Coordinate, monitor, and control of the training and development activities of national safety representatives in each division to develop competencies, skills and trust among division managers and field personnel.
• Provide content advice and edit all safety-related documents, such as accident investigation reports, monthly reports, safety policies, procedures, and safety publications.

Technical Expert, Risk Assurance and Compliance

Robotics

Summer Skilled Trades Internship – Process Automation Technician

Engineer

• Supervise, guide, and participate in activities to maintain performance of tailings, crushed leach, and water dam facilities through inspection, measurement, data management, interpretation, analysis, coordination, problem solving and reporting
• Apply and improve performance of tailings, crushed leach and water management systems and associated procedures for assigned active and inactive facilities.
• Oversee construction Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) activities for TSFs, CLSs, and WD.
• Collaborate with operators, engineers, and maintenance to continuously ensure good performance of tailings, crushed leach, and water management areas and to identify and implement associated improvements including the mine, process, tailings, water, environmental and safety areas.
• Engage the Engineer of Record in the design and operations of TCLW facilities.
• Communicate accurate, timely and relevant geotechnical information to Operational management team.
• Serve as point of contact with corporate engineers and management, including tracking all recommendations, ensuring compliance with those recommendations, and reporting actions regularly.

• Contribute to annual operational and sustaining capital budget preparation by supplying costs and recommendations.

Senior Geotechnical Engineer

Financial Planning and Analysis

• Assist in drafting footnotes, MD&A or other assigned sections of the company’s Form 10-Q/K or other SEC filings, and the preparation of the company’s quarterly earnings release.
• Responsible for the preparation of a comprehensive set of workpapers supporting the company’s external and internal reports and working directly with the company’s external auditors on the audit of information included within these reports.
• Participate in the monthly accounting close, which may include the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance and account analysis for complex accounting areas such as derivatives, pension, environmental obligations, litigation, and stock-based compensation.
• Gather and analyze data to assist in the preparation of company’s external filings as well as for internal management reports.
• Participate in the review of financial reports, including local statutory reports in foreign jurisdictions, for compliance with accounting and reporting standards.

Full-stack Engineer

• Manage and oversee in-field activities for recipe development and optimization test work and trials, including Field Array trials to evaluate leaching uplift and technical aspects of additive development.
• Implement and operate field arrays and associated units, ensuring 24/7 operational readiness and troubleshooting as needed.
• Liaise with contractors and operators responsible for mixing/dosing additives, monitoring field array operations, and ensuring compliance with protocols.
• Collect, process, and analyze samples to ensure expeditious generation of test results and support technical evaluations.
• Participate in planning phases of field test work to provide practical support during execution, including weekend standby as required.
