About the role
- Serve as a key financial steward for a portfolio of smaller and less complex clients
- Ensure the accuracy of monthly financial reporting
- Lead month-end close processes
- Oversee the work of shared service specialists
- Complete and or review reconciliations and create journal entries
- Assist with AP/AR activity as needed
- Detect potential misstatements and ensure financials are GAAP-compliant
- Deliver exceptional client service by demonstrating reliability and proactive problem-solving
- Provide mentorship and coaching to Staff Accountants and Shared Services team members
Requirements
- CPA preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role
- Experience leading or supporting accounting system implementations and client onboarding
- Comfort with multi-client environments and a fast-paced workload
- Proficiency in accounting systems specifically QuickBooks Online
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience in a client services, outsourced accounting, or consulting environment preferred
