About the role
- Own Framework’s organic social strategy and execution across YouTube, TikTok, Twitter/X, Instagram, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms with emphasis on video.
- Produce and test new creative weekly; iterate quickly based on audience insights.
- Develop and publish content balancing product storytelling with community-driven narratives (repair guides, Linux setups, user upgrades).
- Partner with Creative to align visuals and copy with Framework’s design system and brand voice.
- Collaborate with Community to engage audience and amplify user-generated content.
- Plan and execute campaigns for major product launches and maintain evergreen content momentum.
- Engage directly with audience, responding to questions and fostering conversations.
- Track performance and report on engagement depth, sentiment, channel growth, website referrals, and contribution to growth.
- Travel domestically and occasionally abroad to capture social assets or direct/repurpose content from team members.
- Act as Marketing team's on-the-ground support, handling hands-on content and logistical needs and representing Framework at local events.
Requirements
- 3+ years managing and creating social media for a brand, preferably in tech, hardware, or community-driven companies.
- Familiarity with Linux and DIY hardware culture.
- Familiarity using social media posting tools like Meta Business Suite, Sprout Social, Brandwatch, or others.
- Familiarity using in-app editing.
- Clear, approachable, and adaptable writing voice; able to explain technical topics in an empowering way.
- Confident shooting and editing social first photos and videos.
- Strong eye for content formats and deep understanding of platform nuance.
- Comfortable defining KPIs, tracking performance, and iterating based on insights.
- Passion for sustainability, repairability, and giving people control over their technology.
- Experience working in small, fast-moving teams where you wear multiple hats (nice to have).
- Experience with a DSLR camera (nice to have).
