About the role

  • Develop embedded software in C++ for the RoomMate sensor.
  • Work at the core of product development, driving embedded software that powers RoomMate.
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, and product managers to define and shape RoomMate’s evolution.
  • Mentor and support team members; foster knowledge-sharing and continuous learning.
  • Take ownership of complex problems and drive autonomous solutions.
  • Contribute to product discovery to build solutions for real-world healthcare challenges.
  • Work across RoomMate’s Sandvika office and Sensio’s central Oslo headquarters.

Requirements

  • Expertise in C++ with a solid background in embedded software development on Linux.
  • Ownership mindset: anticipate challenges, take initiative, and drive solutions forward.
  • Team player: thrive in a team environment, share knowledge, and grow together.
  • Product-oriented thinker: understand how technology impacts the end user.
  • Fluent in English (Norwegian is a plus, or a willingness to learn).
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with Embedded Linux (Yocto).
  • Nice-to-have: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and testing.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience in signal processing, ML, or AI.
  • Nice-to-have: Understanding of hardware development.
  • Nice-to-have: Knowledge of communication technologies such as TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, mobile, or Bluetooth.
