About the role
- Manages multiple, large complex projects with $100M+ budgets
- Utilizes project governance activities and tools to deliver projects and manage project risks
- Defines and executes processes for change controls, approvals, and information exchange with stakeholders and subcontractors
- Defines workflows, jobs, and reporting relationships of a project team
- Mitigates scope, schedule, and cost risks internally and with customers
- Supports development of departmental budgets and business plans for functional areas
- Develops organizational goals and objectives and leads project teams
- Evaluates and compares material handling alternatives and technologies when supporting design and implementation
- Applies supply chain concepts in the design and implementation of solutions
- Leads multiple external and/or internal projects or work streams of mid to large size, scope, budget, and complexity
- Supports project managers with consulting skills for problem resolution and client acceptance
- Builds strong project teams, delegates assignments, and develops associates
- Represents Fortna management in client steering meetings during project lifecycle
- Assists sales team with preliminary schedules, site reviews, and installation plans for green/brown field projects and retrofits
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of experience, minimum 5 years at Director level or above
- Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally
- Ability to perform essential requirements of the position
- Demonstrated advanced knowledge and ability to develop and manage multiple project budgets and perform financial analysis
- Supreme level project management skills
- Superior proficiency managing both indirectly and directly across multiple workstreams and projects
