Lead global fastening tooling and standards to support future programs, campaign prevention, and reaction plans for Ford North America Final Assembly manufacturing facilities.
Lead program-specific fastening project and strategy during development phase of the program through sourcing and Purchase order issuance.
Working directly with NA Final Assembly Manufacturing plants.
Execute overall fastening strategy, seeing it through to delivery and implementation
Define, maintain, and update fastening tooling standards
Assist in the development of and ensure full alignment on program costing
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
Self-motivated, organized, hands-on, and collaborate individual
Willingness to work outside existing comfort zones
Minimum 2 years direct experience with manufacturing (Plant, VOME, PTME, etc) – preferably across multiple skill teams
Strong interpersonal skills, presentation, and communication ability
Fastening foundation with the ability to both learn and teach
Ability to travel and interface with NA Manufacturing Plants
Strong problem solving abilities

Master's degree in Engineering
Ability to manage multiple projects at once with great attention to detail
Knowledge and experience with fastening equipment, assembly equipment, or joint design strategy
Experience with Ford Tooling Suppliers – Atlas Copco, Stanley, Ingersoll Rand, Estic, Etc.
Experience working with cradle to grave tooling development
Experience implementing or auditing manufacturing requirements, standards, and procedures
