About the role
- Lead strategic sourcing, issue and evaluate RFQs, manage commercial issues, lead negotiations and be responsible for overall supplier management.
- Manage electrical purchasing components for large energy storage systems.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders including executive-level regional business leads.
- Design, conduct and synthesize supplier, industry and market research for assigned commodities to develop sourcing strategies.
- Provide analysis of requirements, spend, and savings to ensure the most cost-effective options.
- Identify and negotiate commercial cost reduction opportunities based on a solid understanding of cost drivers and contracts.
- Develop and manage suppliers according to business needs and maintain day-to-day supplier relationships; act as the lead point of contact for commercial discussion.
- Issue RFXs for sourcing assigned commodities, review raised purchase requests and support/lead a strategic sourcing approval process.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering and/or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in operations, manufacturing, procurement, supply chain or related area.
- 4+ years experience of negotiating contracts and/or relationship management.
- 2+ years of leading successful supply chain teams.

- Experience working with electrical components, including semiconductors and electrical distribution.
- Experience with ERP and procurement tools (e.g., Coupa, SAP Ariba, Oracle).
