About the role
- Lead a world-class team of engineers responsible for the design, development, and delivery of seating systems across our vehicle portfolio.
- Oversee the integration of comfort, craftsmanship, safety, and advanced technology while ensuring all quality, cost, and weight targets are met.
- Collaborate with Studio/Design, Marketing, Purchasing, and Manufacturing to deliver best-in-class interior solutions.
- Drive engineering solutions that ensure best-in-class J.D. Power "Seat Quality and Satisfaction" results.
- Lead initiatives to simplify the seating portfolio.
- Execute a "Design Once, Use Many" philosophy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in automotive product development, specifically within Interior or Seating systems.
- Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience managing large-scale budgets and hitting aggressive weight and cost-reduction targets.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams through complex product launches (GPDS).
