About the role
- Lead development and execution of SCS HRWC strategies, processes, and compliance activities across the global supply base. Initiatives include (but are not limited to):
- Supply chain due diligence compliance and reporting to ensure compliance with existing and proposed legislation.
- Social responsibility auditing based on risk assessment.
- Policy alignment of Tier 1 suppliers with Ford’s Supplier Code of Conduct.
- Integration of SCS requirements and metrics into sourcing processes.
- HRWC and sourcing training for suppliers and Ford team members.
- Benchmarking within and outside automotive industry to identify emerging trends, recommend opportunities for improvement, and maintain awareness of external stakeholder expectations.
- Lead regular updates to the Supplier Code of Conduct, Social Responsibility and Anti-Corruption Supplier Guide, Global Modern Slavery Statement
- Support annual updates to Integrated Sustainability & Financial Report, Human Rights Report, Value Chain Transparency Supplier Guide.
- Represent Ford as a technical expert in and develop point-of-view for industry and cross-industry forums and sub-teams relative to human rights and working conditions. Proactively engage in cross industry collaborations to ensure efficient engagement with Tier 1 suppliers and sub-tiers.
- Identify key indicators and maintain data management integrity of all metrics for HRWC.
- Manage Business Managed IT application requirements.
- Lead department meetings, set annual team/employee objectives, develop annual budget for program implementation, memberships, etc.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree - Business, Engineering, Sciences, or Supply Chain.
- 7+ years of experience in Supply Chain and/or Corporate Sustainability
- 3+ years leading effectively in global, cross-functional, internal, and external team environments.
- Strong process discipline with attention to detail to ensure corporate compliance with external legislation and stakeholder expectations.
- Executive level communication, presentation, and facilitation skills (verbal and written)
- Organized self-starter capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to utilize data to determine next steps.
- Strong teamwork and relationship building skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and comfortable learning new software.
