About the role
- Lead the strategies driving the Philanthropy’s investments and partnerships in Fresh Food Access, Disaster Response, and Building Together.
- Ensure that current and future programs, initiatives, and commitments are impactful and well executed.
- Manage a small team to develop and implement effective strategies that leverage the capabilities of the enterprise.
- Manage a community grantee portfolio, including an annual grantmaking process.
- Engage teams and organizations within Ford to leverage their capabilities for increasing community impact.
- Support a community of practice comprised of grantees and community partners.
- Maintain positive relationships with Ford Philanthropy’s external partners.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Policy, Social Sciences, Non-Profit Management, Communications, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
- 3+ years working in a corporate environment with a focus on community impact or CSR.
- 5+ years of experience developing and maintaining relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- 5+ years of program management experience, specifically coordinating implementation across different organizations.
- 3+ years of experience managing direct reports.
- 2+ years of budget management experience with exceptional attention to financial detail.
- 2+ years conducting research and data analysis to inform strategic decisions.
- Proven leadership in Social Services, food security, or disaster relief is a plus.
- 3+ years of experience working within non-profit organizations or community engagement initiatives is a plus.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to represent Ford at external events is a plus.
