About the role
- Drive internal functional issue resolution (Exterior commodities, BIW, Ext. Orn., Fascias, lightning)
- Escalate issues when needed.
- Drive cross-functional issue resolution (program, finance, quality, attribute, manufacturing, STA, suppliers, etc.)
- Lead resolution of PD launch issues via JIRAs, CRs, CMFs, FCPA, Alerts, & other launch performance metrics for on time delivery of launch.
- Lead NMPDC whiteboard issues resolution and PCN generation and approval during DCV builds.
- Manage total cost, content, and other attributes & metrics within the VHE zone.
- Support functional sign-off and compatibility reviews to deliver all Program Milestones on-time with completed metrics.
- Identify opportunity areas for optimization and part reduction.
- Active on-site Exterior SPOC for program, attributes, VO, and NML teams through launch phases from LR through OKTB.
- Ensure alignment of engineering resources to budget for all phases of the program.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- 3+ years’ experience in Exterior System Integration
- 2+ years of experience with Design & Release or Design Engineering
- 2+ years of experience using GPDS processes and Ford Systems
- 1+ years of experience with Cost Setting Process and Functional Led Cost/Appearance Delivery Process
- Demonstrated Production Launch Experience.
- Demonstrated experience with Program Management.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills (open, clear, and inclusive).
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple issues effectively and efficiently.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload managing immediate and future needs.
- Demonstrated the ability to build strong effective relationships with cross functional teams (Program, Purchasing, Finance, Engineering).
