Perform tasks of the trade: operate, monitor, perform preventive maintenance (PM) and repair of boilers, air compressors, combustion equipment, refrigeration equipment and related systems.
Troubleshoot electrical and combustion firing controls and related safety devices.
Follow safety rules and procedures and work in a team environment; accept and follow instructions from leadership.
Stand for extended periods, walk unassisted, work at heights and overhead (ladders and platforms), and manipulate trade tools.
Perform physical tasks requiring reaching, lifting, twisting, bending, and use of PMHV or hilo; maneuver around vehicles, equipment, assembly lines or stations and facility.
Be willing to change shifts and work overtime as required.
Requirements
Completed a bona fide apprenticeship OR 8 years of previous experience OR a combination of previous work experience and training equivalent to a bona fide apprenticeship program in the trade.
Experience in operation, monitoring, PM and repair of air compressors, combustion equipment, refrigeration equipment and various types of combustion equipment.
Strong electrical background for troubleshooting combustion firing controls, refrigeration equipment and related safety devices.
CFC certification required.
Boiler operating license required from their state/municipality.
Successful completion of a job interview, pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check (drug panel does not include THC).
Willingness and ability to work on any assigned schedule, change shifts, work more than 8 hours per day and/or work overtime, and maintain good attendance.
