About the role
- Assess allegations, properly scope and conduct investigations.
- Identify and assess legal issues arising out of complaints lodged through the Company’s SpeakUp channels.
- Provide legal analysis and legal advice to the Company on how to address any confirmed violations of the law.
- When necessary, work with outside counsel in addressing/assessing legal issues arising out of investigations.
- Align scoping and investigation procedures with SI Management to ensure proper scope and timely completion of investigations.
- Conduct professional and tailored investigations including systems review, investigative interviews and communication with complainants.
- Perform email reviews and other data analysis of collected information.
- Provide timely and well synthesized investigation reporting and updates to management.
- Manage multiple tasks and prioritize changing workloads.
- Routinely engage with leadership and cross functional teams. Effectively deliver difficult or unpopular messages with a diplomatic, solution-oriented approach.
- Support remediation both internally and externally, as needed.
- Provide accurate and timely updates in the case reporting system.
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years at a law firm, corporation, or government agency handling investigations.
- Experience navigating confidential and sensitive subject matter
- Candidates must possess a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- Investigative Expertise: Extensive experience investigating fraud, misconduct, bribery, and forensic accounting while evaluating compliance with laws, regulations, and corporate policies.
- Analysis & Project Management: Proven ability to manage complex project lifecycles and analyze data to identify trends, exceptions, and solutions that drive results.
- Global Collaboration: Skilled at building relationships with global teams and stakeholders at all levels, including suppliers and the broader business community.
- Legal Analysis: Excellent issue-spotter with the ability to analyze, interpret, and succinctly summarize large volumes of data with precision and thoroughness.
- Communication: Strong writer and verbal communicator capable of navigating difficult or confrontational conversations with patience and outstanding interpersonal skills.
- Work Ethic & Integrity: Resilient self-starter who maintains high ethical standards, professionalism, and discretion in all investigative tasks.
- Fluent in Spanish is an advantage.
