Lead a group of engineers to design next-generation Ford products (gas, hybrid, and electric) focusing on suspension, steering, brakes, wheel/tires, and system integration.
Span work from early design concept and CAD to the beginning phases of industrialization, platform complexity and strategy, component design and systems engineering.
Deliver best-in-class cost, quality, and complexity targets.
Collaborate cross-functionally with vehicle dynamics, manufacturing, purchasing, and other organizations.
Supervise engineering team activities and provide leadership on projects and people.
Work within Product Development to apply design thinking and user experience methods.
Requirements
Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
5+ years of automotive chassis systems experience.
Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (preferred).
Knowledge of component design, systems design, and CAE modeling is beneficial.
Knowledge of competitive vehicles, vehicle attributes (driving dynamics, NVH) and manufacturing processes is beneficial.
Knowledge of the commodity sourcing and cost delivery processes is a priority.

Strong interpersonal skills and desire to work collaboratively across multiple organizations.
