Join the cutting edge of automotive innovation as the Ford Performance Vehicle Architecture Manager—lead development of high-performance vehicles for Ford
Creation of new team responsible for the creation of both Ford Performance Motorsports and Production Vehicles
Lead architectural development for future production and motorsports vehicles, including ground-up designs and platform derivatives
Coordinate cross-functional design efforts to ensure seamless integration of occupant packaging, mechanical systems, powertrain selection, and performance targets
Leverage CAE tools and full-vehicle simulation during early-stage concepting and architectural selection
Develop innovative solutions to meet complex packaging and systems architecture requirements
Mentor and manage a multidisciplinary advanced engineering team (upper body, occupant package, chassis systems, underbody, powertrain, CAE)
Collaborate with Ford’s Flexible Vehicle Architecture Team to align performance goals with scalable platform strategies
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in engineering required; Master’s degree preferred
Minimum 7 years of experience in vehicle architecture, including chassis/powertrain release and systems-level design
Understanding of xEV systems, system interactions and performance in both production and race vehicle applications
Proficiency in CATIA, Teamcenter, VisMockup, ENOVIA, and KBE tools
Deep understanding of high-performance vehicle use cases (track, desert running, rock crawling)
Strong knowledge of FMVSS and race series regulations, with the ability to balance compliance and performance
Experience with analytical optimization tools (HEEDS, HyperStudy, etc.), DOE studies, regression analyses, and their application to K&C and design iteration
Familiarity with multidisciplinary modeling and Simulink integration for system and subsystem models
Proven ability to correlate physical systems and vehicles with analytical predictions
(Preferred) Experience in vehicle attribute development (dynamics, NVH, thermal, aero)
(Preferred) Excellent communication skills—capable of crafting clear technical documentation and executive-level presentations
