About the role

  • Manages a team of engineers and technicians to establish work measurement programs and analyzes work samples to develop standards for labor utilization
  • Analyzes workforce utilization, facility layout, and operational data (production costs, process flow charts, production schedules) to determine efficient utilization of workers and equipment
  • Recommends methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities, such as restructuring job duties, reorganizing workflow, relocating work stations and equipment, and purchasing equipment
  • May develop management systems for cost analysis, financial planning, wage and salary administration, and job evaluation
  • Demonstrates functional, technical and people and/or process management skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills
  • Demonstrates expertise in multiple areas and industry; demonstrates proficient knowledge of the function and a thorough understanding of Flex and related business
  • Use of Office skills and other tools as required for reporting and analysis

Requirements

  • Graduate with minimum 10+ years of Industrial Engineering experience, including supervision
  • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience and training
  • A Master's or MBA degree is preferred
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents
  • Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints
  • Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style
  • Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference to practical situations
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
  • Must have a good knowledge of employment law and company practices
  • Proficient with Office skills: typing, telephones, data entry, HR related and office software including word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation packages
