About the role
- Manages a team of engineers and technicians to establish work measurement programs and analyzes work samples to develop standards for labor utilization
- Analyzes workforce utilization, facility layout, and operational data (production costs, process flow charts, production schedules) to determine efficient utilization of workers and equipment
- Recommends methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities, such as restructuring job duties, reorganizing workflow, relocating work stations and equipment, and purchasing equipment
- May develop management systems for cost analysis, financial planning, wage and salary administration, and job evaluation
- Demonstrates functional, technical and people and/or process management skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills
- Demonstrates expertise in multiple areas and industry; demonstrates proficient knowledge of the function and a thorough understanding of Flex and related business
- Use of Office skills and other tools as required for reporting and analysis
Requirements
- Graduate with minimum 10+ years of Industrial Engineering experience, including supervision
- Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience and training
- A Master's or MBA degree is preferred
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents
- Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints
- Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style
- Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference to practical situations
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
- Must have a good knowledge of employment law and company practices
- Proficient with Office skills: typing, telephones, data entry, HR related and office software including word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation packages
