Manages a team of engineers and technicians to establish work measurement programs and analyzes work samples to develop standards for labor utilization
Analyzes workforce utilization, facility layout, and operational data (production costs, process flow charts, production schedules) to determine efficient utilization of workers and equipment
Recommends methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities, such as restructuring job duties, reorganizing workflow, relocating work stations and equipment, and purchasing equipment
May develop management systems for cost analysis, financial planning, wage and salary administration, and job evaluation
Demonstrates functional, technical and people and/or process management skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills
Demonstrates expertise in multiple areas and industry; demonstrates proficient knowledge of the function and a thorough understanding of Flex and related business
Use of Office skills and other tools as required for reporting and analysis
Requirements
Graduate with minimum 10+ years of Industrial Engineering experience, including supervision
Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience and training
A Master's or MBA degree is preferred
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents
Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints
Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style
Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference to practical situations
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
Must have a good knowledge of employment law and company practices
Proficient with Office skills: typing, telephones, data entry, HR related and office software including word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation packages
