Lead the operations team across multiple manufacturing plants and execute the strategic plan for operational excellence
Build and develop a high performance and agile team capable of facilitating rapid change driven by product enhancements, productivity improvements and capacity expansions
Ensure a culture of caring, learning and results grounded in company leadership competencies and the “Pella Way”
Make team member safety a priority and provide training, protective equipment, and accountability for an accident-free workplace
Inspire a customer-centric approach to producing high quality products and providing reliable delivery
Drive continuous improvement by leveraging automation, process flow, and team development to increase productivity and margin
Direct the capacity planning process using predictive indicators and establish annual KPI targets within budget guidelines
Serve as an Operations representative on corporate cross-functional strategic teams including Sales & Operations planning and Portfolio Management
Coordinate with HR, IT and Finance to ensure seamless execution of business initiatives
Carry out management responsibilities: interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, directing work, appraising performance, rewarding/disciplining employees, and resolving problems
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required in business, or related field
MBA preferred
7-10 years directly related, progressively responsible work experience
5-7 years’ experience in building materials manufacturing
5+ years management experience
Direct management of 5 to 10 people (people management, hiring, training, performance appraisal)
Experience with capacity planning, KPI targets, and budget management
