About the role
- Manage department resources, including defining needs and hiring quality team members
- Direct the performance management of all direct reports
- Enforce established processes and create new processes where appropriate
- Ensure and manage the professional development of team members
- Manage technical escalations effectively
- Conduct research on emerging products, services, and standards to support enhancement and development efforts
- Act as a focal point in tracking problems and establishing trends for system availability
- Participate in project planning, determining project needs in advance, and establishing timelines to complete projects on time
Requirements
- 3+ years of people management experience
- 10+ years of experience in technical or project management
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and/or equivalent military experience
- Ability to gather, analyze, and interpret data accurately, and make recommendations for resolution
- Experience troubleshooting and managing technical escalations
- Strong customer focus with a sense of urgency and flexibility to changing circumstances
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with a high level of teamwork capabilities.
