About the role

  • Manage department resources, including defining needs and hiring quality team members
  • Direct the performance management of all direct reports
  • Enforce established processes and create new processes where appropriate
  • Ensure and manage the professional development of team members
  • Manage technical escalations effectively
  • Conduct research on emerging products, services, and standards to support enhancement and development efforts
  • Act as a focal point in tracking problems and establishing trends for system availability
  • Participate in project planning, determining project needs in advance, and establishing timelines to complete projects on time

Requirements

  • 3+ years of people management experience
  • 10+ years of experience in technical or project management
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and/or equivalent military experience
  • Ability to gather, analyze, and interpret data accurately, and make recommendations for resolution
  • Experience troubleshooting and managing technical escalations
  • Strong customer focus with a sense of urgency and flexibility to changing circumstances
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with a high level of teamwork capabilities.
