About the role

  • Leading a team of analysts, engineers and system administrators in the architecture, configuration, deployment and maintenance of FirstEnergy’s OT Systems
  • Actively leading and engaging in complex technical, standardization and procedural discussions
  • Developing and maintaining integrations between systems and components of systems
  • Performing system security administration tasks.
  • Managing, comparing, configuring, building and debugging vendor software
  • Supporting real-time data acquisition and control of the electrical grid in a reliable and secure manner

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technologies a similar related technical discipline, or commensurate experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience with GE (legacy Alstom) eterra systems.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience with Oracle NMS systems.
  • A minimum of 8 years architecting, developing, or administrating in a major SCADA vendor’s platform.
  • A minimum of 3 years as an established technical supervisor at FirstEnergy.
  • Experience leading teams is required.
  • Strong ability to adapt to technologies and embrace complex systems.
  • Ability to be on-call 24x7
