About the role

  • Initiate and maintain high-level relationships with strategic accounts at the senior and executive level.
  • Enhance Finning’s market presence and competitiveness by actively engaging in industry communities and fostering relationships.
  • Provide strategic leadership for business development execution across multiple industry verticals.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with Caterpillar and key vendors at all levels.
  • Lead the preparation and management of Rental Equipment Programs and Master Supply Agreements.
  • Oversee the development and submission of tenders and RFQs.
  • Drive new business opportunities by leveraging existing networks and cultivating new relationships.
  • Identify, assess, and prioritize development opportunities for Finning Power Systems.
  • Manage key and national accounts, ensuring long-term relationships and alignment with customer objectives.
  • Develop and implement effective reporting to keep stakeholders and senior leadership informed on key metrics.

Requirements

  • University degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of senior-level sales or business development experience with a proven track record of driving growth in large account sectors and leading high-performing teams.
  • Strategic thinker with strong entrepreneurial mindset and expertise in planning, execution, and marketing principles.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Energy industry, Caterpillar Power Systems products, and technical product applications.
  • Advanced leadership and coaching capabilities, complemented by exceptional presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Outstanding communication, persuasion, and networking abilities to build relationships across all management levels.
  • Strong understanding of financial management, contract negotiation, risk management, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to anticipate and respond to market dynamics, customer expectations, and emerging technologies.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools, with strong organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Deep understanding of Finning business practices, policies, and industry challenges.
