About the role
- Supports overall financial compliance and risk management.
- Provides oversight of audits initiated by funders and ensures accuracy.
- Quality assurance review of management responses.
- Supports statutory, labor, tax, money laundering audits required by host countries.
- Ensures all subrecipients qualifying for audits undergo such audits.
- Interacts with representatives of funders, governmental agencies, and external auditors.
- Recommends actions to limit risks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Economics or Finance; or its International Equivalent.
- 5 - 8 Years of progressively responsible financial experience.
- Proficiency in spreadsheet software required.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- Non-governmental organization (NGO) experience preferred.
- Written responses and action plans for financial audit findings experience.
- Communicating with internal/external auditors experience.
- Providing external auditors financial support for accounting transactions experience.
- Knowledge of documentation required for procuring goods and services using U.S. Government and other funders funding.
- Reading Single Audit (2 CFR 200, Subpart F) or other financial audit reports experience desired, not required.
- CPA desired, not required.
- English-Full Professional Proficiency (level 4)- Written & Verbally.
- French-Full Professional Proficiency (level 4) - Written & Verbally.
