About the role

  • Senior National Sales Manager (VP of Sales) role communicating product passion to showrooms, electrical distributors and online
  • Develop and implement sales strategies; identify potential customer opportunities
  • Lead existing customer and vendor relationships; supervise customer and competitor activity and industry trends
  • Manage $200 million in sales across multiple distribution channels and oversee sales leaders
  • Actively develop and drive annual strategic sales plans for key customers and rep groups in an omnichannel environment
  • Establish and manage relationships with key customers including Home Depot, Lowes, Ferguson, Wayfair, Amazon, and Lamps Plus
  • Collaborate with Channel Sales leaders to align product, pricing, promotions and discipline
  • Drive new product sales through all channels of distribution
  • Deliver accurate monthly forecasts and provide insights into customer trends and market
  • Drive representative agencies to meet revenue, service, growth, and cost targets; conduct quarterly performance reviews
  • Lead sales team development and identify high-potential talent
  • Work with Finance Business Partner to develop programs, pricing recommendations, and investments for profitability
  • Develop and implement compensation strategies for external manufacturer rep network
  • Work closely with finance, supply chain, and marketing to optimize sales opportunities
  • Remote position with preference for major US city hubs (Los Angeles, Dallas, Atlanta, Chicago, Charlotte); travel up to 50%

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or management or combined education and experience equivalent
  • 10+ years of experience in sales leadership, rep groups, multi-channel environment, and senior team-level engagement
  • Experience selling to builders, designers, electrical distributors, and showroom consultants
  • Self-starting, collaborative teammate
  • Self-motivated with a high energy level capable of maneuvering throughout an organization to achieve results
  • Experience in the development and execution of strategic business plans
  • Proven track record for identifying and building new business
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, including presentations to all levels of employees and customers
  • Maintain up to date with all industry trends, issues, and news
