About the role

  • Manage a team of high-performing analysts within the Policy Expectations and Surveys team
  • Actively support and develop the team and talent consistent with the Bank's mission
  • Provide strategic direction, oversight and expertise to the design, execution, analysis, and reporting of the Survey of Market Expectations
  • Engage with senior stakeholders in the Markets Group
  • Lead the systematic tracking of U.S. monetary policy expectations through market commentary, outreach, and external surveys
  • Provide thought leadership and interest rates market expertise
  • Build and maintain relationships with external market participants
  • Oversee the development and implementation of models to extract measures of monetary policy expectations
  • Foster effective risk management with respect to the policy surveys
  • Lead strategic initiatives on the staff

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to manage staff and lead complex projects
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality results under tight deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to effectively convey complex ideas in a concise and insightful manner
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Strong survey and data analysis skills
  • Familiarity with advanced quantitative analytical packages
  • Risk management and process oversight experience
  • Effective interpersonal, coordination, and diplomatic skills
  • Strong self-management skills
  • Prior staff management experience preferred
  • Familiarity with U.S. monetary policy expectations preferred
