About the role

  • Designs and develops comprehensive architectures that integrate processes, applications, data, and technology
  • Leads the development and implementation of governance frameworks, Centers of Excellence (CoE), and best practices for Power Platform and Copilot Studio utilization across the enterprise
  • Executes Proofs of Concept (POCs) and pilots for Power Platform and AI-driven solutions to demonstrate rapid business outcomes and feasibility
  • Applies critical thinking and performs structured analysis to solve challenging issues related to application modernization, automation, and AI integration
  • Works independently with minimal guidance to architect, design, and oversee the implementation of complex Power Platform and Copilot solutions, assessing their overall performance, scalability, security, and health
  • Responsible for defining and aligning system standards and principles for low-code/no-code development and AI agent deployment
  • May lead projects or project phases related to Power Platform adoption, AI integration, or application modernization initiatives
  • Reviews detailed designs and configurations to ensure alignment with high-level design and architecture principles for the Microsoft 365 ecosystem
  • Collaborates closely with stakeholders, including business leaders, citizen developers, professional developers, and IT professionals, to understand business requirements and translate them into effective and efficient system solutions leveraging Power Platform and Copilot Studio
  • Design solutions for integrating Power Platform and Copilot Studio with other Microsoft 365 services (e.g., Teams, SharePoint, Exchange), Azure services, and third-party systems
  • Ensures seamless integration of these solutions with existing systems, while maintaining a focus on security, compliance, and best practices
  • Stays abreast of the latest industry trends and technological advancements in Microsoft 365, particularly in Power Platform, AI-driven tools such as Copilot, and Azure AI services
  • Proactively identifies opportunities to leverage these advancements to drive innovation, automation, and continuous improvement within the organization
  • Acts as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor on Power Platform and Microsoft Copilot solutions, contributing to the development of strategic IT roadmaps and ensuring alignment with organizational goals
  • Contribute to the strategy for migrating and modernizing legacy applications, identifying opportunities for rebuilds or replacements using Power Platform
  • Assist in defining best practices for PowerShell scripting and its transition to Azure Automation, integrating with CI/CD pipelines

Requirements

  • Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience in System Architecture
  • At least 3 years specifically focused on designing, implementing, and governing Microsoft Power Platform solutions (Power Apps, Power Automate, PVA, Dataverse)
  • Demonstrable experience (at least 1-2 years) in architecting and deploying solutions using Microsoft Copilot Studio or related Azure AI services (e.g., Azure Bot Service, Azure OpenAI)
  • Strong understanding of Power Platform governance, Center of Excellence (CoE) models, administration, security, and ALM (Application Lifecycle Management)
  • Experience with Azure services integral to Power Platform and AI, such as Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Azure API Management, Azure AI Services, and Azure OpenAI
  • Familiarity with integrating Power Platform with other Microsoft 365 services (Teams, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, Dataverse)
  • Solid understanding of identity management concepts (Entra ID/Azure AD) in the context of Power Platform security, connectivity, and application access
  • Experience with API design and usage, including creating and managing custom connectors in Power Platform
  • Familiarity with SAFe Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present complex technical solutions clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Education Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred. (Or equivalent practical experience)
