Technical Program Manager

• Take complex technical programs from idea to delivery: scope the plan and milestones, then keep complex, multi-team work moving efficiently, transparently, and to a high technical bar.
• Prioritize across competing demands in partnership with research teams so the teams’ effort lands on the highest-impact work.
• Build and maintain compute and resource roadmaps by surfacing bottlenecks and trade-offs, finding ways to accelerate progress and build relationships with potential external partners.
• Partner with researchers to package their work effectively to get our research into the hands of people who can act on it by transferring findings, methods, and tools to frontier labs and other stakeholders.
• Connect research and engineering with our internal partners in Operations, Events and Communications giving each the timelines, results, and context they need to plan, resource, and communicate our work.

Recruitment

• Own end-to-end recruiting coordination: Job postings, Ashby setup and automation, interview and assessment scheduling, work trial logistics, onsite coordination, etc
• Manage the contracting process for work trials
• Support new hire onboarding operations, including scheduling onboarding meetings, equipment, creating new hire info sheets, setting up Slack channels, and coordinating with hiring managers and onboarding buddies
• Maintain and improve recruiting and onboarding templates, toolkits, and process documentation

• Own and build the People function across people operations and infrastructure
• Own the hiring end-to-end: pipeline strategy, sourcing, employer brand, candidate experience, interview design, and offer process
• Build and maintain the practices that make managers effective
• Own compensation philosophy, leveling, benchmarking, and benefits administration
• Own employment compliance across jurisdictions
• Steward the practices, rituals, and feedback processes that keep FAR.AI a place where talented people do their best work
• Resolve people ops inquiries and issues with empathy and efficiency
• Hire, develop, and manage the People team as it grows

Communications

• Develop & Lead Communications Strategy
• Create and implement a comprehensive communications strategy aimed at engaging key decisionmakers (policymakers, AI researchers, & industry leaders)
• Ensure messaging is clear, impactful, and consistent across all channels and initiatives.
• Oversee the development of content, including policy-focused technical content and social media strategies.
• Leverage your relationships with key journalists and media outlets to secure high-impact coverage
• Lead rapid response communications to address misconceptions surrounding AI safety
• Lead, mentor, and expand the communications team
• Own the cross-channel editorial calendar, aligning content to organizational priorities and key moments.
• Oversee FAR.AI’s brand, protecting our reputation as a trusted neutral source on AI and strengthening our attractiveness as an employer and partner.
